Our Time Tested Refinishing Process
At Maverick Home Services, we have perfected the art of refinishing. Our team have created a process that pleases even the most fastidious clients and transitions your project from beginning to end with a minimal amount of disruption.
1. Proper preparation is key. We use heavy weight covering to protect all existing floors.
2. Our team removes and labels every door and drawer, and the corresponding hardware is bagged and labeled, ensuring a seamless transition when your project is reassembled.
3. We carefully prepare every surface for painting. Degreasing, cleaning, and any repairs are dealt with at this stage.
4. Our team uses FESTOOL Dust extraction and sanders. Using these tools and this process allows us to keep the dust to a minimum as we sand any surfaces that are unable to be removed to sand elsewhere.
5. All existing cabinet boxes will then be masked to prepare for refinishing.
6. Our team then constructs a portable dust barrier with a filtration and exhaust system to remove most (if not all) of the dust created by the spraying process.
7. With our state of the art spray system, we start the refinishing with two coats of 2K ICRO Primer.
8. Once we have completed the onsite refinishing and inspection, we will remove all the masking in the home. All removable drawer fronts and cabinet doors will be taken to our shop for completion. This step minimizes the amount of time that we are onsite, and minimizes the disruption to you. Your cabinets and drawers will still be functional while we have the fronts off-site.
9. When the off-site door and drawer fronts are completed, we will schedule a return time for installation and final inspection.
